Kia Ora.
I have recently moved to New Zealand in search of a better life with my wife Reshma Kalla and 11 years old daughter Arushi Kalla.
I liked the idea of Vision week where in the people comes together to shape a better tomorrow where the reset is new and future proof.
Below are my some thoughts and queries if you can incorporate them into the program discussion:
# This is the time when everyone needs to think “What I can do for the country”.
# Be more vocal about the local business / Brands.
# Apart from tourism How can we take advantage of our strength which is Mother Nature this beautiful country to attract talent, and to attract global tech giants to invest and have their data centre in NZ the country with 0 carbon or positive foot print.
# Can we have equal focus on Technology and R&D same as tourism, agriculture, dairy energy etc...
# Can we introduce coding and software language to our kids as part of their curriculum for future tech talent.
# Can we include yoga and meditation in school as part of mental health programs.
# How can we create more local brands in food and clothing fashion industry for NZ and global market.
My apologies in case if any of the above is off topic as these are some random thoughts and ideas came to my mind of my understanding of last 18 months of stay in New Zealand.
Look forward to working together for better tomorrow. Thanks.
Regards,
Ashish
As an immigrant from 1980, what stood out to me, even though I was only a child, is how beautiful and plentiful this country is. It is easy to lose sight of that after many years, or for people who are born here and haven't travelled much. I love the sentiment of "what can I do for this country" and especially with a sustainability focus discussed in VisionWeek: Do no harm, fix it, and make it better. (Paraphrase). This is a beautiful country to live in.
